Fall is in the air ~ Jeanette Bunn

Fall weather in San Diego is nothing like the rest of the country. September and October usually are the hottest months of the year, and our leaves don’t turn all yellow or brown before the beginning of November. The recent hot Santa Ana winds have brought more warm weather to the area. Even this week’s rainstorm, which arrived early in the season, didn’t last and the warm weather is back.

Whether you’re a California native or you moved here a few years ago for work or the sunny weather, you may be longing to enjoy a real fall season: crisp mornings and a cool breeze during the day that warrant you to wear cozy sweaters and warm jackets, the gorgeous fall foliage as far as your eyes can see, some hot apple cider to warm up in the late afternoon, and the opportunity to sit by a relaxing fire at night.

If you live in San Diego and miss the fall season, Travel To Go is offering great savings on trips to the North East right now. Choose from many options, such as a relaxing stay in a stunning New England resort, a leaf-peeping cruise, or even plan ahead for a ski trip at one of the many resorts in the North East (New Hampshire not only has great snow but beautiful scenery as well). And it’s never too early to start planning your holiday family getaway. Thanksgiving and the end-of-the-year holidays will be here sooner than you think, so give us a call when you’re ready to schedule your next trip at (800) 477-6331, Monday through Friday 8am to 5:00pm PST.
